Application instructions and safety information for pure terpenes
Terps Spray® from Cali Terpenes is an innovative system that allows high-quality terpenes (cannabis aromas) to be easily and evenly applied to a wide variety of products such as food, flowers or herbal extracts. Thanks to a specially developed valve for micro-atomisation, you can achieve fast and homogeneous results.
Quality and safety
- 100% purity: The terpenes used are highly concentrated and pure.
- Ingredients: All ingredients are food-safe, free from genetic engineering, pesticides and contamination.
- No cannabinoids: The spray does not contain any THC, CBD, CBG or other cannabinoids.
- Nitrogen technology: The pressure in the spray is generated by nitrogen, which does not mix with the terpenes and thus preserves their purity.
Use in food and beverages
The dosage in food is significantly lower than in other products. For optimal results, the terpenes should be used in cold applications to prevent evaporation.
- Ice cream: 0.025 to 0.1 ml per approx. 1 kg.
- Beer: 0.01 to 0.05 ml per 1 litre.
- Oils: 0.1 to 0.3 ml per 1 litre.
- Honey: 0.1 to 0.5 ml per 1 to 2 kg.
- Chocolate: 0.25 to 1 ml per 1 kg.
- Important note: Allow the product to rest for 24 hours after application so that the flavours can fully integrate.
Application with hemp and cannabis flowers
Terpenes optimise the taste and can increase the entourage effect and bioavailability of cannabinoids.
- Yield: Just 1 ml of terpenes can flavour 100 to 200 g of flowers. A 5 ml terps spray is sufficient for approx. 500 to 1000 g.
- Methods: Depending on the quantity, spray attachments are available for small units, terps spray for medium quantities or industrial airbrush systems for large quantities.
- Storage after application: Store the flavoured flowers in an airtight container (ideally vacuum-packed) for at least 24 to 48 hours to allow the compound to solidify.
Storage and handling
Terpenes are volatile compounds and require careful storage:
- Cooling: It is recommended to store the containers in the refrigerator at approx. 7 °C.
- Temperature: Avoid temperatures above 60 °C during processing.
- Original container: Always store terpenes in their original dark glass containers to protect them from UV rays and cross-contamination. Terpenes can attack plastics.
- Closure: Replace all safety valves and screw caps immediately after use.
