About sahumitos

Sahumitos are small bundles of dried herbs that are lit and allowed to smoulder. Traditionally, each herb is attributed with a specific property: cedar wood stands for protection and grounding, sage for the elimination of negative energies. In a ceremony, the bundle is lit, the flame is blown out and the smoke is wafted away for purification.
